"Well I'm glad I make you happy," Lalaithion said laughing and rolling his eyes as he saw her tearing up again. He hoped she wouldn't be doing that all the time. He burst out laughing as she got mud all over his face, digging through his pockets for a tissue or something but finding nothing. "Here, use my sleeve." He held the arm that he had not gotten all wet from the lake in front of her face, still laughing. "You are insane."

"Ah, thanks" Adelie said, groping blindly toward his outstretched arm and then rubbing her muddy face all over it. "I can SEE!" She exclaimed "And I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused you, I don't always act like that." She said with a more serious expression. Adelie had been called insane before on many occasions, although most of the time the people who said that to her were not laughing or being kind like Lalaithion was. She really felt lucky to have met him.
"Hey, you seemed to have expressed some interest in fancy desserts, do you want to learn how to make them sometime? I have loads of books and I have lots of free time too. That is unless I have work to do. But that is to be expected right? Because when you don't work it's called free time, therefore what I just said is completely redundant." Adelie finished with a frown. 'Man... I am crazy...' She thought. Oh well, at least she had a friend now!

Lalaithion laughed as she cleaned off her face on his shirt, trying to brush off some of the mud when she was done with it. When that didn't work, he pushed up both of his sleeves, since one was now muddy and the other wet from the lake. But he wasn't about to complain, since poor Adelie was soaking wet from jumping into the lake to save his fishing rod. She was a good friend to have, from what he had seen so far.
"I have an interest in desserts in general, really. Not just the fancy ones," he said laughing and shrugging. "I would love to learn how to make them, but I can't promise it'll be easy.. teaching me. I'm terrible in the kitchen." He grinned and laughed lightly at her little rant.

"Oh the kitchen is a simple thing to get around, you just need to memorize stuff! And as for cooking, all you do is follow instructions!" Adelie said. "It's really very relaxing, especially when you get to reap what you sow. Which hopefully will be delicious dessert." Adelie looked back up at the castle for a moment, wondering what sorts of things awaited for her there. She wondered if the kitchens would be absolutely enormous, and what sorts of classes she would be taking. There was a divination class that seemed really interesting...
"Oh, Lala, what classes did you sign up for?" Since they were going to be friends, she thought it best to ask so they could see if they had any together. Especially if she needed homework help.

"I'm not so good at following instructions.. or memorizing stuff," he said laughing and shaking his head. "And I was also told that fishing was relaxing. That was obviously a huge lie." He grinned and looked down at the fishing rod that lay forgotten on the ground. He doubted he'd be using that again anytime soon. Maybe he'd sit it up in his dormitory for.. decoration. Maybe it would then at least look like he actually used the thing.
"Oh, um. There was.. Transfiguration, and Elven Languges, and uhh.. Care of Magical Creatures, and what's that last one.." He squeezed his eyes shut as he tried to remember the other class he'd signed up for. "Oh! Legends and Mythology, I think it's called.." He smiled and nodded his head. "How about you?"

"Nah, all you have to do is try! And generally that is good enough. As for fishing, maybe it's not your thing.... or mine." She said as she looked at her soaking muddy dress.
Adelie listened intently as he listed all of the classes he was taking. "Oh wow!" Adelie exclaimed "The only course that I'm not taking there is transfiguration! I'm taking divination. How fun would it be to know the future! I could predict snowstorms and maybe even grades... or if I was going to burn something or maybe even... when a fish will suddenly smack me in the face? It would certainly be useful..." She grinned. It was kind of creepy that they were in all the same classes though. But it's not like they are really all that unique, lots of people like language and animals and mythology.

"Hopefully, I'd love to be able to cook sweets and whatnot all by myself. And my Mom would sure be surprised.." He grinned and clapped his hands excitedly. "Oh really? That's awesome, so we'll actually see each other! Yay!" he said excitedly. He thought that perhaps this girls overly-excitedness about some things was rubbing off on him. Oh joyy. "That does sound useful. You will tell me all the interesting things you predict, right?" He smiled and poked her arm lightly.

Adelie stifled a giggle as she watched Lalaithion acting a bit less manly. She wondered if he would ever go fishing again. It was worth a try at least... and maybe he would invite her along too. Maybe she should get a rod and they could learn how to be professional anglers. No fish would ever stand a chance! She laughed openly at the thought of Lalaithion, who had been so flustered by that one little fish, catching a really big open water fish, like a tuna or a grouper. Atlantic sea bass. That was a funny name... Pretty soon, she was drifting off into a little musing over fish names, when suddenly Lalaithion's voice woke her from her reverie. "Yes! I'll be sure to tell you about eeeverything I predict. Even if it's about you catching the largest Atlantic sea bass ever." She grinned.

"Well good, I want to hear about everything," Lalaithion said, stopping mid-nod when the last piece of what she'd said registered. "When I catch a what?" He blinked stupidly, having no idea what she was talking about. He assumed she was talking about a fish, but he had no idea why. The subject seemed to have come up quite randomly, but most things about this girl were strange and random, he supposed.

"An Atlantic sea bass!" Adelie repeated "It's a fish." She added, just in case. She nodded, imagining to herself the satisfaction if she caught the largest Atlantic sea bass. It would be magnificent. However, she would feel bad about the little (big) guy, so she would let him go afterwards. Maybe even give him a name... But maybe she would let it smack Lalaithion in the face first. She giggled. He would probably get squashed under the huge fish. But that was mean... maybe she could just threaten to smack him in the face if she caught it. But she didn't know if that was going to happen or not, so she decided to leave pondering on that topic to a later and more relevant time.

"Yes, I figured. But what is this about me catching one? I believe we have establishes that Lala and fish are not friends," he said, feeling like smacking himself when he realized he'd called himself Lala. Darn this girl and her girly nicknames. He wondered how big this Atlantic Sea Bass was, because it sounded like it was pretty big. He shuddered at the thought of encountering a fish that big, for he had trouble with the little fish he had barely caught earlier.

Adelie full out laughed when Lalaithion called himself Lala. "Girly huh? It seems to have stuck though, huh?" She grinned. "And I think that you and fish could be great friends if you wanted to! You just have to learn how to get along, right?" She laughed again.
